Position: Resource Coordinator

Hours of Employment: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday-Thursday

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Fridays (non-school days) 

(Occasional weekday evenings and weekends will be required) 

Work Location: In-Person 

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000, based on experience and qualifications 

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Community School Initiatives

Employment Type: Full-time | Exempt 

Position Overview: Responsible for coordinating and aligning resources with the needs of families, students, and the general school communities. Serves as a vital connector of schools to those they serve, while managing resources needed to enhance learning communities. Requires a passion for making a positive impact in the community, exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment, and strong relationship skills with diverse stakeholders.  

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with school-based leadership to understand needs and provide ongoing, responsive support that addresses the whole school community.
  • Actively attend and participate in aligned meetings and trainings within the community school network.
  • Manage projects related to the coordination and distribution of essential resources that support students and families.
  • Communicate consistently and effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment, collaboration, and shared goals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead school events and district-based events, as assigned.
  • Refer and connect community members to public health and essential resources as needed. 
  • Collect, track, and maintain accurate quantitative and qualitative data related to programs, services, and engagement.
  • Use data and feedback to assess impact, identify trends, and recommend improvements or adjustments to programming.
  • Administer surveys and assessments to gather input from stakeholders and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure all programs and events are implemented in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and organizational standards.
  • Support and, when appropriate, lead stewardship and relationship-building with schools, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with students, families, school staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Support in-school, after-hours and extended day community school activities as requested. 
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff members aligned with program goals and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate both formal and informal presentations to external audiences to share impact, strengthen partnerships, and build support.

Expectations of all Employees:  

  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to use a personal vehicle to transport program/event materials between sites as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with the broader organization to facilitate school, community, and volunteer programs and events (NOTE: Must be able to remain in a stationary or mobile position, as the shift demands, and move equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.) 
  • Develop and nurture appropriate relationships with all stakeholders 
  • Maintain NCCP standards of professionalism  
  • Actively participate in all trainings and workshops  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • College courses in Education, Project/Event Management, or related field of study
  • Proven experience in project and/or case management 
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills to match different stakeholders (partners, donors, school staff, families, colleagues)
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to assess program effectiveness 
  • Ability to think critically and adapt to changing environments and manage challenges effectively
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, ability to multitask

Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Project/Event Management, or a related field
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills
  • Previous experience in program, project or event planning, implementation, and evaluation (4+ years)
  • Previous people and project management experience (2+ years)
