Recent Happenings
Last week, Green Bay Early Childhood Center hosted a Spring Family Festival to celebrate Week of the Young Child (WOYC). WOYC is a week dedicated to promoting early learning.
At Green Bay’s WOYC event, NCCP was privileged to be one of the partners that provided fun enrichment activities to students and families along with many other amazing partners like Reading Power Inc, Kohl Children's Museum, North Chicago Public Library, and many others! Last Friday, North Chicago Community Partners hosted a Spring Family Event at AJ Katzenmaier Academy. The event included a variety of health and wellness activities to teach and promote healthy-living! The event was a great way for students and families to strengthen their relationships with one another and the community—and judging from all the smiles, we’d say it was a success! 😊

During our After School Enrichment Program, K-1 students at Forrestal Elementary read the book “Ten Black Dots” as a part of our ongoing Fun with Books program! Students then got to add ten dot stickers to their own drawings. Activities like this help kids think more critically about the stories they hear!

Glenbrook North All Stars are a group of volunteers from Glenbrook North High School who visit District 187’s AJ Katzenmaier Academy monthly to work with 4th and 5th grade students during North Chicago Community Partners' After School Enrichment Program.
All Stars support and encourage students as they develop new skills, while also building meaningful relationships along the way. Thank you, Glenbrook North All Stars!
