Position: Volunteer Engagement Associate
Hours of Employment: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM | Friday
(Occasional weekday evenings and weekends required)
Work Location: In-person
Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000, based on experience
Immediate Supervisor: Senior Manager of Volunteer Engagement
Employment Type: Full-time | Non-Exempt
Position Overview: NCCP is seeking an energetic and outgoing new member of our team who will help enhance and expand our volunteer engagement efforts. They will support the organizations efforts to recruit and deploy more than 4,000 volunteers annually and will oversee volunteer administration.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques including community-based relationship building, databases, emails, and social media
- Respond to volunteer inquiries, such as emails, web form submissions, and sign-up forms
- Schedule phone calls and meetings with prospective volunteers to collect information on skills, interests, and availability
- Work with NCCP team to onboard, train, deploy, and steward volunteers
- Actively manage and share weekly volunteer schedule
- Actively communicate program and event information and engagement opportunities with volunteers
- Enter and track volunteer leads in Salesforce CRM
- Input and update volunteer records and activity in Salesforce CRM
- Manage and track volunteer touchpoints in Salesforce CRM, such as volunteer birthdays and anniversaries
- Input, track, and monitor volunteer shifts and attendance in Salesforce CRM
- Ensure volunteer-related data is complete and accurate
- Support on and off-site volunteer programs, projects, and events
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience with Salesforce CRM and VMS, or similar platform
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and proficient with full Microsoft 365 suite including Outlook and Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- Strong customer service orientation
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Two-year or four-year college degree
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Previous experience in volunteer-related role
- Previous experience in planning and leading events
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Work in collaboration with the broader organization to facilitate school, community, and volunteer programs and events (NOTE: Must be able to remain in a stationary or mobile position, as the shift demands, and move equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.)
